Colors Disappear From the Planet of Earth (地球から色が消える?!, Chikyū kara Iro ga Kieru?!, lit. Colors Are Disappearing From Earth?!) is the twentieth episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.

Plot[]

Ippei received an idea to create another fighter jet Assist Weapon named King Jet, which would combine with Dyna Fighter into Dragon Fortress, but remained undecided of what the wings’ colours would better suit out. Meanwhile, Takeshi’s submission for an art contest was rejected, causing him to resent the judge, Jiro, while Kahn saw this as an opportunity to create more monsters. Apparently Jiro happened to be Naoto’s uncle and he paid a short visit to the Sho household. Although he had to return to the office that night, he promised to allow Naoto and his friends a visit to his workplace on the next day’s afternoon.

Takeshi modified Stealgun’s data into Mecha Stealgun, now with the ability to fly up to Mach 15 and has the ability to erase colours. During their visit, the trio spied on Jiro as a man who is in fact a perfectionist that isn’t above yelling at his own staff members. Stealgun at first sabotaged all of the computers in Jiro’s office and eventually turning all the colours in Sakuragaoka into monochrome. Naoto merged with Gridman to fight Mecha Stealgun but the monster’s upgraded attacks were more than enough for the Hyper Agent to handle. Taking inspiration from the now-apathetic Jiro, Ippei coloured Dragon Fortress’ wings to be white and sent it immediately for aerial support. The Assist Weapon separated into two fighters to cancel out the monster’s invisibility. After taking out Stealgun with Grid Beam, Gridman restore the colours to Sakuragaoka.

Jiro mailed to Ippei and thanked him for his support, ensuring that both of them could reach their goals together.

"Ippei’s efforts saved a world-class artist. Three kids feel from the deep inside of their mind that it is important to have a dream live."
