Chrome Chester are fighter jets created by the TLT with the help of Visitors which arms their NR unit with advance equipment to combat Space Beast in the air and when they reach giant size.

As more giant Space Beasts started to become more and more in place of the more human sized variants, as well as their continued evolution, TLT was forced to upgrade their arsenal creating new Chrome Chesters and Chester configurations.

Chrome Chester α

Chrome Chester α : The most aerodynamic of the original three Chesters, it forms the front command portion of all Chester combinations. It is armed with Spider Missiles and Banisher Laser Cannon .

Chrome Chester β

Chrome Chester β : The Chester with the largest engine of the original three, it forms the middle section of the Strike Chester configuration and the cannons in the Mega Cannon Chester configuration. It is armed with Mega Lasers on both sides of gyro and Laser Vulcan on the nosecone.

Chrome Chester γ

Chrome Chester γ : The least aerodynamic of the original three Chesters, it forms the bottom or the back of all the formations. Its armaments are a pair of Metal Lasers and micro missiles Avilock .

Chrome Chester δ

Chrome Chester δ : The fourth Chester was built to do what Strike Formation could not, use the Phase Synchronizer and Scanning Pulse at the same time. It upgraded the Strike Formation into Hyper Strike Formation enhancing its abilities and allowing greater firepower output. Its main armaments are four Quad Blasters , each built in four Hyper Generator Units and stronger variants of Gamma's Avilock missiles.

Formations

Strike Formation is a combination process of Chrome Chesters to eradicate the Space Beasts. Each combination is different per components and formations:

Strike Chester

Strike Chester : A single fighter jet. The first combination of Alpha, Beta and Gamma, with its Scanning Pulse it can search for things within the phase and its Phase Synchronizer allows it to match that frequency of space. This is how it enters the Meta Field. Its finisher is a beam called the Strike Vanisher .

Mega Cannon Chester

Mega Cannon Chester : A tank formation for land-based combat. In exchange for air mobility, the Chrome Chesters gain a stronger version of the Strike Vanisher finisher called the Mega Cannon Vanisher , which is 25% stronger.

Hyper Strike Chester

Hyper Strike Chester : The Strike Chester combined with Chester Delta, it can now search the phase frequencies with impunity and Delta Hyper generators allow for the use of the Hyper Strike Vanisher and for a time, before the required data was deleted, the Ultimate Vanisher which was an artificially created version of Nexus' Over-Ray Schtrom.

Dig Chester

Dig Chester : A subterrene combination from Alpha, Beta and Gamma. This formation never made it to the series despite its existence confirmed by Tsuburaya Productions.

Trivia

• According to Hiroyasu Shibuya, Bandai agreed to Tsuburaya Productions' proposal for the series, leading to the design and product planning of "combining mecha."
  • Given that the series centers around the theme of "bonds," which complements the concept of combinable mechs, the final design was aligned with the project's objectives. The initial design was similar to the shape of a Jet VTOL, but to better match the series' style, the design was adjusted to a more realistic appearance.
