Shu Ishido's Diary[]

Currently, there's a huge crater in the center of Hoshimoto City, leaving it in a pitiful state. The life-or-death battle between Ultraman Arc and Trigelos, the galactic beast, came to an end with a huge explosion, which led to the current disastrous state of the city.
We also can't get hold of Yuma. I'm currently waiting at the scene for the rescue team to arrive, and writing this to calm my restless heart. Thinking about it, the entire day had a somewhat tense atmosphere hanging over it. Yuma not feeling well,
The spacetime-distorting shimmer that appeared in the city skies, The electromagnetic waves, similar to the ones found when Digelos appeared, found at the scene by the SKIP members who headed there (excluding Yuma), And, of course, the kaiju who appeared suddenly: Trigelos. It's similar to Monogelos and Digelos, however, it possesses three horns in total. It initially stood motionless at the scene.
While paying no mind to the fleeing, confused people, it released a high frequency from its horns. And the one who was affected was no other than Yuma, who arrived later at the scene. A mysterious, intense light emanated from his chest and Trigelos immediately reacted to it, launching an attack aimed at Yuma.
From then on, everything was a blur. I got Yuma into SKIP's van and got out of there as fast as I could. Perhaps I already knew the answer deep down. But I still asked Yuma about the origin of the light in his chest and the reason Trigelos was after him. He did not give me an answer. I also did not ask further questions.
Using your imagination to empathize with someone and to put yourself in their shoes… That's something important Yuma taught me. But at that time, there was a slight “fear” within me, which I cannot deny when looking back on it. Yuma had been carrying a great burden all alone, and I was foolish not to realize it. It was the fear of having to face such reality. I've always felt that there is nothing more difficult to understand than one's own heart.
But there was no lies in the words I said next: "I don't want to lose you." And yet, he ran. I continue to wonder whether or not I should have stopped him at that time. Either way, Yuma disappeared from my field of vision and Ultraman Arc appeared not long after. He then headed towards Trigelos. It was a truly terrible battle.
Trigelos was able to block all of Arc's attacks. Not only could it block the Arc Eye Sword's slashes, but even the Arc Finalize. When Arc tried using the speed of the Luna Armor to attack, it was able to defend itself by using a light booster in the shape of a half-moon. Even the tough exterior of the Solis Armor was destroyed by Trigelos' beam. Trigelos was obviously extremely knowledgeable about Arc's techniques and armor details. I honestly thought it was like a biological weapon of evil, born for the sole purpose of defeating Arc.
Before long, Trigelos used its booster to crucify Arc and started its relentless attacks. Watching it all happen and not being able to do anything made me lose my composure, and ended up lashing out at Rin's words. I was going towards Arc with my Elemagun but the Chief stopped me. From the bottom of my heart, I truly don't want to lose him.
But I was not the only one having these thoughts. I later learned that not only everyone at SKIP, but also the members of the GDF felt the same way. In a thunderous roar, the sky was filled with aircrafts and missiles. The Kaiju Control Unit put their lives on the line for a general offensive that managed to slow down Trigelos. Once Arc was free again, he used the Galaxy Armor to create a drill-like weapon of light to go against Trigelos. The Arc Feathers were used as claws and the wound created by them was later shot with the Arc Finalize. "He won."
The very second everyone had this thought, Trigelos started expanding and caused a huge explosion. It surely wanted to take Arc along with it. Then, Arc disappeared. The Chief just contacted me right now. It seems the rescue team is lacking manpower, so the support teams will take a while to arrive.
Taking this into consideration, we will have to look for Yuma ourselves. We will use our measuring instruments to find any signs of life and go as far as we can. It's our duty to rescue him.
Yuma, please be safe.[2]

Trivia[]
- According to director Tomonobu Koshi's post on X:
- The combat performance, sense of threat, and power displayed by Trigelos in this episode were distinct from Monogelos and Digelos, inspired by suggestions from suit actor Yoshiki Kuwabara. Kuwabara mentioned wanting to emulate the sound effect used for the Angels in Neon Genesis Evangelion, which influenced both Trigelos's entrance scene and landing posture.[5]
- This episode featured Yuma's first transformation sequence where he doesn't look at the Transformation Item. To ensure he maintained eye contact with the enemy, Koshi directed about 11 takes, as loading the Arc Cube without looking was challenging. During filming, Yuki Totsuka, who plays Yuma, exerted so much force while pushing forward that his body leaned too far, accidentally damaging the Arc Ariser. Koshi later apologized to Totsuka, and the prop was sent for repairs.[6]
- To depict the details of Ultraman Arc's Galaxy Armor leaving wounds on Trigelos and performing beam attacks, the conclusion was to use the armor's Arc Feathers as claws for slashing attacks. Given the jagged, serrated design of the Arc Feathers, which closely resembles claws, the team experimented with portraying them as claw-like weapons.[7]
