Beware of The Phantom Thief Marty is the twelfth episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.
Plot[]
There had been twelve cases of house intrusion, where the criminal known as Phantom Thief Marty cracked any safes he could find and leave out his signature teddy bears. One of these houses turn out to be Takeshi's, where Kahn managed to intercept the burglar. Ippei's house was also one of those targeted and the salesman Ishikawa offers his service to install the Cat's Eye security company. Meanwhile, Takeshi and Kahn discover that Marty and the Ishikawa salesman are the same person, deciding to use his company's security system against the townsfolk of Sakuragaoka.
Ippei on the other hand had lost his soccer ball signed by Kazuyoshi Miura, but Kana gave Ishikawa's gift to him, a transformable toy that went from a jumbo jet to a robot mode. While the three friends were loitering at Junk's room, Ishikawa's failed attempt at breaking in to Naoto's house alerted them to the scene. Apparently Ishikawa admitted that he only use the Marty alias to get more people to sign his company Cat's Eye, but admits that did not committed any theft of properties. On the other hand, Takeshi created the monster Magnegauss to cause a ruckus into houses with Cat's Eye System. The first victim was Yuka's home, locking her brother Yoshihito and her mother inside. While Ishikawa try to crack open the Cat's Eye code, Naoto and the others took matters into their own hands after deducing Kahn's involvement.
Naoto merged with Gridman and fought the Magnegauss, only to be overpowered by a series of magnetic flashes and his energy is slowly drained. Using Ishikawa's toy, Ippei got the inspiration to modify all three vehicular Assist Weapons he created so far and launching them into attacking the monster. By inputting the Access Code, the vehicles combine into God Zenon robot and fought its way against Magnegauss' attacks. Using its God Punch, Magnegauss' horns were severed, but the keyboard fried before another attack can be made, forcing Gridman to deliver the finishing blow himself. Marty was arrested, but as he did not commit any burglary and assisted in disabling the Inoue family's security system, he was given a light sentence.
The next day, it was revealed that Ippei's treasured soccer ball was stolen by Kana, who gave it to her friend.

- Ishikawa's gift, a transformable toy, is actually a modified figure of Jumbo Saber from the third Brave series The Brave Fighter of Legend Da-Garn. This figure was repainted with green and red coloration that replaced the original's light blue and white, with an entirely different breastplate attachment. Both Gridman and Brave series are under Takara's property at that time, hence the figure's appearance.
