Battle! Underground City is the fourth episode of Ultraman Dyna.
Synopsis[]
Eerie earthquakes have been repeatedly observed around the construction site of the Geo Front, where an underground city is being built. Super GUTS confirmed the existence of subterranean organisms and halted the construction machinery for investigation. The president, who is betting on the construction of the underground city, was furious about this and forcefully resumed the construction. However, at that moment, a strange event occurred!
Plot[]
Recently, mysterious earthquakes have been occurring around Aoba City. Super GUTS monitors the irregular activity and come to learnt that the earthquakes were not natural. They identify that the GeoCity construction site was prompting a kaiju to cause the tremors. Officers Kohda and Asuka head to the scene.
Here they learn of the PW waves - waves which are able to turn rock into powder regardless of how hard it is. Back at the command center, Nakajima deduces that the frequency of these waves may have agitated the kaiju. At that moment, the earthquakes resume in Aoba City. Captain Hibiki quickly orders Kohda and Asuka to stop the PW waves. Meanwhile, Hibiki contacts president Tachibana of GeoFront (the company behind GeoCity) and requests that he halts usage of the PW waves. However, all this does is anger the president and he ignores Hibiki's words.
Tachibana deduces that because the kaiju dislikes the PW waves, then it will leave if exposed to enough of it. He arrives at the construction site, orders his guards to restrain the Super GUTS officers, and sets the PW waves to maximum intensity. Unfortunately, the plan backfires and the kaiju was now headed directly towards the site. Once everyone realized this, Asuka and Kohda evacuate the building. But before President Tachibana, Secretary Yukina and Asuka could evacuate, Daigelun appears and sinks the building below the ground - leaving the trio trapped. Super GUTS attacks Daigelun while Tachibana reminisces why he initialized GeoFront. The commotion of the battle caused the building to topple even further. It was at this desperate moment that Asuka transformed into Ultraman Dyna to do battle with the kaiju.
Initially, Dyna was unable to handle Daigelun's great strength and thick hide, and he was tossed around easily by the carnivorous beast. Locking the Ultra's foot in its jaw, Daigelun slammed Dyna into the ground over and over again. Finally, Dyna transformed into Strong Type in order to break free. With the strength to exceed even Daigelun, Strong Type Dyna had no difficulty hurling the kaiju across the field. And with the Vulcan Swing, Dyna was able to completely vaporize it.
While all of President Tachibana's hard work had been reduced to rubble, this was only a new beginning. He would rise up once again, like an ant.
