Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers[]
Aya is a marine scientist and the granddaughter of Takenaka. She obtained her GUYS license at the age of 14, earning her the title of "genius marine scientist." She has even published several Nobel Prize-worthy research papers. Currently, she works at the Kobe Marine Environmental Center, focusing on marine biotechnology research. Due to her busy schedule, she sometimes struggles to take care of her younger brother, Takato, especially after he experienced trauma from the Kelbim attack three months ago.
Three months later, Mirai Hibino of GUYS arrived in Kobe to investigate an anomaly detected in Kobe Bay. Aya agreed to Captain Shingo Sakomizu's request to assist Mirai in investigating the unusual activities near the Kobe waters. Regarding Mirai, she had an impression of him as being naturally kind and somewhat enigmatic, with a sense of mystery that was hard to decipher.
She then took Mirai to Suma Seaside Park, where she worked, and informed him that the marine life at the research center had been exhibiting signs of distress lately, likely sensing some kind of change. She also arranged for her brother Takato to meet Mirai; however, Takato fled out of resistance. After reaching the office of the research center, Aya explained Takato's past to Mirai and introduced him to Takato's dog, Alto. Although Alto survived the monster attack three months ago, the incident left Takato emotionally scarred.
As the two talked, Alien Temperor began attacking the Kobe city. Mirai quickly sent Aya away and transformed into Ultraman Mebius, successfully defeating the alien. However, Alien Zarab took the opportunity to infiltrate Aya's laboratory and captured her on the spot. Zarab then disguised himself as Aya and offered a cup of coffee to Mirai upon his return to the office. Unaware of the deception, Mirai accepted the drink. Unfortunately, the coffee was laced with poison, and Mirai began to feel his body gradually paralyze. At this moment, Zarab revealed his true identity and, impersonating Mebius, began attacking the city.
Despite facing a severe challenge, Mirai managed to transform after a great effort and defeated Zarab. However, the battle was far from over. Alien Guts and Alien Nackle attacked Mebius next, prompting the Ultra Brothers to come to his aid. After defeating Alien Guts, U-Killersaurus was finally resurrected. Soon after, Yapool betrayed Alien Nackle and destroyed him. Despite the intense battle with U-Killersaurus, the Ultra Brothers could not secure victory.
When Mebius was about to destroy U-Killersaurus's head, he discovered that Aya was trapped in a crystal on U-Killersaurus's forehead. Just as Mebius was on the brink of being killed by U-Killersaurus, the Ultra Brothers combined with him to form Mebius Infinity. Ultimately, Mebius defeated the ultimate monster and successfully rescued Aya. During this process, Aya felt an extraordinary and warm sensation beyond that of normal humans.
After waking up, Aya learned from Takato that Mebius and the Ultra Brothers had saved her. At sunset, Mebius Infinity separated into Mebius and the six Ultra Brothers.
After the battle, Mirai expressed his gratitude to Aya. Before leaving Kobe, Aya asked him, "Why do you think Ultraman protects humans?" Mirai replied, "Because they love humans." In the end, she, Takato, and Alto bid farewell to Mirai as he returned to the Phoenix Nest.Ultraman Mebius & the Ultra Brothers
Ultraman Mebius[]
After some time, Aya traveled from Kobe to attend a conference and took the opportunity to visit the Phoenix Nest to see her grandfather. She also invited Mirai to spend a day with her. As Mirai and Aya walked into a park, Aya revealed that she wasn't actually there to visit her grandfather but to see Mirai, explaining that there was something she wanted to confirm in person. However, she insisted that Mirai would have to go on a date with her before she would tell him.
As they spent time at the amusement park, they were followed and harassed by a reporter named Mitsuhiko Hirukawa. Suddenly, a mysterious man dressed in black and holding balloons approached Mirai. He introduced himself as Yapool and released a red balloon with golden stripes into the sky. An interdimensional gate appeared in the sky, causing Mebius Killer to descend onto Earth. Mirai urged Aya to hide while he went to fight, but Aya followed him, eventually witnessing Mirai transform into Ultraman Mebius.
During the battle with Mebius Killer, Mebius was severely attacked, nearing defeat and exhaustion. Aya confessed that when Mebius saved her the last time, she felt the warmth in Mirai's heart. She encouraged him, saying, "It make no sense if you die because of kindness, please stand up." Motivated by her words, Mebius rose again, continued the fight, and defeated Mebius Killer using the Mebium Dynamite.
After the battle, Aya rushed to the side of the exhausted and unconscious Mirai. However, they were once again harassed by Hirukawa. Suddenly, the ground beneath them cracked open, transporting all three of them into Yapool's dimension.Threatening Mebius Killer
When the three of them woke up again, they found themselves in an alternate dimension where Tokyo lay in ruins. Hirukawa took the opportunity to attack and injure the exhausted Mirai, calling him "incompetent" because GUYS had not stepped up to defend Earth during the attack. Aya intervened to stop his reckless actions.
Then, Yapool, dressed in black, appeared once more. He ordered Hirukawa to shoot Mirai with the gun he had given him, promising to save Hirukawa's life if he did so. Aya stepped forward to protect the injured Mirai. In a fit of rage, Hirukawa fired the gun at both Mirai and Aya, but Mirai used the Mebium Defensircle to shield himself and Aya. However, this only led Hirukawa to bitterly call Mirai a "monster."
Yapool tried to persuade Mirai, questioning why he would protect someone like Hirukawa and inviting him to join his side. However, Mirai firmly refused, stating that he would fight to protect those who mattered. Realizing Mirai's decision, Yapool revealed his true form, and Mirai transformed to battle him. Despite his efforts, Mebius was overpowered by Yapool's immense strength. In a critical moment, Aya tried to encourage Mirai again, but her efforts had little effect, and she was even attacked by Yapool.
As Mebius’s eyes were about to close, Ultraman Ace communicated telepathically, reminding Mirai that his friends would always be connected with his spirit. Inspired by this, Mirai rose again and transformed into Mebius Burning Brave. This time, Mebius defeated Yapool and destroyed him completely.
Eventually, Mirai, Aya, and Hirukawa safely returned to Earth. While Mirai and Aya rested in a park, waiting for the Phoenix Nest to return from the Moon, Aya expressed her gratitude to Mirai for being her "knight" and protecting her. She then kissed him on the cheek, leaving Mirai feeling both embarrassed and confused.Ace's Wish
