Akiji Kobayashi , sometimes credited as Shōji Kobayashi or Issei Mori, was a Japanese actor and voice actor. His real name is Shōji Kobayashi(小林 昭二 Kobayashi Shōji). He is best known in the West for portraying the role of Captain Mura Muramatsu in Ultraman. He also played Template:KR on Template:KR-Template:KR. He died of lung cancer on August 27 1996 in Yokahama Japan. He was 65 years old at that time.

Trivia
- Akiji Kobayashi was meant to resprises his role as Shouchiku, a fisherman in Ultraman Zearth, again in Ultraman Zearth 2. However, Akiji passed away during filming so a photograph of him was shown in the film instead.
