Plot

STORAGE Report

Apparently as a result of Genegarg's arrival on Earth, various hibernated monsters from around the world were awakened. On his way to STORAGE's hangar, Haruki and the mechanics watched Yoko's victory against Satoshi, one of her recent admirers in an arm wrestling match. As it was Haruki's turn to pilot Sevenger, he was assigned to Atayama City, Shizuoka, but the monster's ability to turn invisible puts Haruki at odds and ended with all of Sevenger's power source severely drained.

Back in STORAGE headquarters, Haruki met the Ultra in person and gets the explanation that unless he actually did his best, Z's power cannot be materialized. Since their previous time was too abrupt, the Ultra decided to explain everything:

"I'm Ultraman Z. I came from Nebula M78, the Land of Light. I'm a member of the keepers of peace, the Inter Galactic Defense Force. Right now, monsters that have swallowed evil factors called Devil Splinters are going berserk across the universe. Infused the powers of my superiors, the Ultra Medals were made to fight them. But the space monster Gengarg accidentally attacked the Land of Light. It swallowed the medals and items needed to use them and escaped. I pursued it with my master, Ultraman Zero. But he was pulled into the four-dimensional space. So I followed it to Earth on my own."

Ultraman Z

In a training room, Hebikura volunteered to train Haruki in a sparring match. After several defeats, a gut-punched Haruki quickly anticipated Hebikura's attack due to a momentary loss of sight. With that, their training comes to an end. Yuka named the monster as Neronga and managed to track it from various reports of blackouts. Its main target is set to be Clean Infinity Power Plant in Tsukuba, Ibaraki. Yuka proposed a plan to dispel Neronga's electricity through her field emission bullet and strike its horn. Only one bullet was made for a short time and the team needs to be precise in the operation.

At the power plant, Yuka and Haruki try to track Sevenger's presence but they learn too late that even the thermograph fail to locate its presence. Nonetheless, Haruki managed to shoot a tracking device and Yoko dispatched on Sevenger to deal with the monster. Haruki transformed into Z to save Yoko/Sevenger from the lightning bolt attack. Using Hebikura's advise, Haruki and Z rely on their instincts to anticipate Neronga's attacks. Thanks to Yoko/Sevenger firing the bullet, Neronga's electricity was dispelled and quickly destroyed by Zestium Beam after a futile attempt to use invisibility.

At some point later on, Yuka left to dissect Neronga's remains and Yoko becomes smitten with the giant as a result from being rescued earlier.
