A Pet Dog Bomb Operation (愛犬爆弾計画, Aiken Bakudan Keikaku) is the twenty-ninth episode of Gridman the Hyper Agent.

Plot[]

While walking alone in a neighborhood area, Takeshi was scared by a dog and sent him crashing a noodle deliveryman. Although wishing to keep a dog as a pet, Daichi was scolded by his mother as he had been bringing pets to their home a few times prior, leading to his mother taking care of them at the end when Daichi neglected to do so. The trio friends on the other hand visited Minako, who introduced them to computerized collars that she obtained from the vet capable of eradicating fleas and serving as trackers if the pet got lost.

Meanwhile, cases of dogs attacking their owners had spread, despite neither of them demonstrating signs of rabies. The source can be tracked to Kung Fu Shinobilar, who manipulated them to do so under Takeshi and Kahn’s orders. When Takeshi objected to turn the dogs’ collars into time bombs, Kahn forced him to comply through brainwashing and had Shinobilar reprogrammed their collars. The first of the exploding dogs happened to be the one which the trio friends and Amagasaki came across. Minako lost her dog Ram, also because of Shinobilar’s brainwashing and the trio helped her in searching her pet.

Gridman alerted Naoto of a monster attack, hence the trio managed to connect the dots behind the strange dog attacks. Merging with Naoto, Gridman raced to the digital collar’s host program to fight against Kung Fu Shinobilar while Minako and Yuka traced Ram to a nearby park. Ippei sent the Dyna Dragon to fuse the Hyper Agent into King Gridman, but both fighters prove to be equal in strength. Minako decided to die alongside her pet when she failed to remove the bomb, but Yuka refused to give up and managed to remove the collar. At the same time, Gridman managed to kill Shinobilar and stop the bomb seconds from detonating.

The next day, Minako thanked the trio for their help. While Daichi took his time care for Ram, he chased his mother to once again beg for keeping a pet.
