5 Seconds Before the Great Explosion of the Land of Ultra! (ウルトラの国 大爆発5秒前!, Urutora no Kuni Daibakuhatsu Go-byō Mae!) is the thirty-third episode of Ultraman Taro. It is the first part of a two-part arc that sees all five previous Ultra Brothers a third time, but this time with Susumu Kurobe respiring his role as Shin Hayata, Kohji Moritsugu as Dan Moroboshi, Jiro Dan as Hideki Go and Keiji Takamine as Seiji Hokuto.

Plot[]

In space, the alien named Temperor prepares to invade the Land of Light and obliterate the Ultra Brothers. Just before he can execute the operation, his boss remind him that the Ultra Brothers are currently making their way to Earth and the vile alien decided to pursue them towards the same planet. The four brothers resume their human appearances to greet Kotaro in his barbecue feast, leaving Zoffy as he choose to patrol the sky.

Realizing that Temperor had arrived and begins to attack the city, the rest of the Brothers had Taro luring their alien nemesis away from Tokyo while ZAT raced to the scene with alien researcher Dr. Ootani on board. Kotaro transforms into Taro but when the alien sees through his plan, he stopped and simply continue to attack the city. Out of options, Taro was forced to back away and left ZAT to handle Temperor. The brothers were forced to have fighting Temperor alone as they wanted to avoid an interracial conflict between two aliens at the expense of Earth. Zoffy presented them an idea to observe Taro without directly getting involved into the conflict. By capturing the ZAT aircraft, the 5 Brothers possessed Ootani and the rest of the four ZAT officers.

None of Taro's attacks are effective and instead he was knocked out of transformation twice. The Brothers eventually realized the true danger of Temperor and decided to fight him on their own. Spotting Eiichi's Ultraman Ball, Taro shrank himself and the young boy throw the ball towards Temperor. Once the ball reached his face, Taro jumped into Temperor's mouth and detonate the vile alien from within. Although the Brothers celebrated his victory, Alien Temperor isn't truly dead and his boss swore that they had fallen to his trap.

"You think you've won? Mistake! The six of you have finally shown yourself! That was just a precious sacrifice to lure you out. Ultra Brothers, we shall put an end to all of you on Earth."
"The Alien Temperor was not dead. Taro did not actually win. The Ultra Brothers are still targets. What did that last creepy voice means?"

―Naughty Suzy and narrator.
